The rules, plain

No surprises.
Ever.

Short version of everything we'll hold you to — and everything we hold ourselves to. The signed versions live in your forms; this is the plain-English copy.

Deposits & cancellations

A deposit holds your spot and comes off your total. Reschedule or cancel 24+ hours ahead for a full refund or a new date. Late cancels and no-shows forfeit the deposit. If we cancel for weather or safety, you're fully refunded or moved — your call.

Weather

We ride rain or shine — just not lightning. A stormed-out camp day gets made up, not lost, and you'll hear from us by 8am that morning.

First ride requirements

Signed waiver before anyone rides — no exceptions, even for friends. Especially for friends. Kids also need the youth consent form. Both are on the Forms page and take about three minutes.

Coggins

Every horse that hauls in — open rides, clinics, boarding — needs a current negative Coggins. Text a photo of it to (423) 607-5656 before you come. We track expiration dates and we'll nudge you before yours lapses.

What to wear & bring

Boots with a heel and long pants for anything in the saddle — we provide helmets. Camp kids: packed lunch, snack, and water; shorts to work in, jeans and boots to change into for ride time.

Boarding money

Board is due the 1st. A $25 late fee kicks in on the 6th — it's in the contract, not a surprise. Farrier and vet passthroughs bill the same week at cost plus $10. Rates review every January with 30 days written notice.

The shelf

Stuff we
make.

Barn wisdom that travels — for the drive home, the kid who won't stop asking questions, and the friend who needs convincing.

The podcast

Real talk from a working barn — training, horse care, and the honest economics of horses. First episode is in the chute. It lands here and on our socials first.
