Limestone, TN · Est. 2025

A working barn in East Tennessee.

We take horses in for training, coach kids and adults in the saddle, and try to leave both better than we found them.

About · where we're at

A small barn,
still being
built.

Gracewood is one trainer, a few horses, and a community growing one rider at a time. We don't run a show pipeline. We don't chase certifications. We put actual hours in the saddle, listen to what the horse and the rider are telling us, and try to do a little better than yesterday.

A bigger place is the biggest thing on our horizon — room for a hay field, woods to ride, and a proper working farm taking shape. The kind of place that earns the name Acres.

What we do

Three programs
that matter.

We keep the list short on purpose. Most of our days are spent putting time on horses, coaching kids and adults, and getting the next thing ready — not selling polish.

01

Training

The biggest piece of what we do. Green colts started right, broke horses kept supple, and the ones in between brought back to themselves.

  • 30 / 60 / 90-day in-residence
  • Colt starting & tune-ups
  • Plain weekly notes
Training programs
02

Lessons

One rider, one horse, one hour. Kids who want to learn the right way; adults coming back to it. After-school program in the works as we grow.

  • Private lessons by appointment
  • Manners, seat, and horsemanship
  • After-school program (coming)
Lesson programs
03

Clinics & trail days

Quarterly half-days outside the arena — trail, ranch work, rougher ground. Open to non-members. Sales horses listed here when we have them.

  • Trail / ranch-work mornings
  • Topic clinics, small group
  • Sales horses (when available)

ROOM
TO GROW

We won't be at Limestone forever. We're looking for a bigger place nearby — room for a hay field, woods to ride, a training arena, animals, and gardens down the line. The barn we'd build if we got to start clean. When it's settled, you'll hear it here first.

Meet the coach

Quiet horses.
Steady hands.
Kids welcome.

"Every horse arrives with a history. Every rider arrives with a story. Our job is to listen long enough to figure out what they're trying to tell us, then put the work in to move them both forward."

The barn

Built for
the work.

Working facilities, well-kept. No marble — just sound footing, good fences, fresh water, and room enough to do the job right.

Scheduling

By appointment.
Mostly.

Lessons run Monday through Saturday on a small standing schedule — we keep it tight on purpose so the focus stays on the horse and rider. Message us for the next opening or to get on the list.

In their words

From the
folks who
ride here.

Notes from the people who've come through the barn. New stories get added as the barn keeps growing — we don't put words in mouths.

"
My daughter is happiest at the barn. She works hard, makes good friends, and is learning to take care of something other than herself.

"
Sent my colt for sixty days. Came home a quieter, more settled horse. No drama, no surprises — just a horse I could swing a rope off of.

Come on
down.

Walk the property, meet the horses, watch a ride. We answer every note personally — usually inside a day, sometimes a little longer if we're out at the barn.
